When you shop for health supplements, you are more than likely going to pick the cheaper one off of the shelf. You want a high content of omega-3’s and the anti-oxidant fighting power of astaxanthin. Since krill oil has been portrayed to have the highest levels of these two nutrients (plus many more), then if you watch what your buying you will get the best health benefits out of it.
Synthetic krill oil is very cheap to make, cheaper than pure krill oil. If you walk down a supplement isle, then you will see differently priced items. Picking the more expensive one even though some of the products claim to be "natural" will almost always be the better quality krill oil. Pure krill oil is a whole food product and all of the oils extracted come straight from the source. When you buy a cheaper synthetic version of krill oil, then you should expect to get about 30-50% less of the nutrients available to you than krill oil. You should be looking for quality instead of quantity with any type of oil extraction supplement.
If you take synthetic krill oils instead of pure, then your body is going to mask any inflammatory problems. This means that your body will seem to respond well to the oil, but it will not, by any means cure of fix the problem the way pure oils will. Synthetic oil only contains part or portions of the nutrients in a regular bottle of pure krill oil.

You need to realize that really are getting what you pay for. Many companies may be trying to sell their synthetic product for all the wrong reasons. They may be in it for fiscal advantage or better competition statistics.
Health is not something you should be cheap about. The benefits of pure krill oil are astounding and there are many studies that have proven the oil to be successful in many areas concern.
